The usual dosage is 2mg, 4mg or 8mg once daily for high blood pressure and for people with coronary artery disease or 2mg to 8mg once daily for heart failure. The dose of Perindopril you may need each day will be decided and adjusted by your doctor.
Swallow your tablet(s) with a glass of water, preferably in the morning before a meal.
You must take Perindopril regularly for it to be effective. Since blood pressure declines gradually, it may be several weeks before you get the full benefit of the drug. Continue taking the tablets for as long as your doctor tells you.
If you forget to take a dose, take one as soon as you remember unless it is nearly time for your next dose. Do not take two doses on the same day to make up.
