Carduran General Info

Carduran (generic name: Doxazosin; brand names: Cardurann / Cascor / Doxadura / Doxacard) is an alpha blocker used for treating high blood pressure and treating signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

In high blood pressure Carduran works by relaxing muscles in the blood vessels. This allows blood and oxygen to circulate more easily around the body, lowering blood pressure and reducing the strain on the heart.

Carduran tablet is usually taken with or without food once a day in the morning or in the evening.

It may take a few weeks before you feel the full benefit of Carduran. Do not stop taking Carduran without talking to your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Carduran, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
